How studio reschedule policy works
Harmony enforces your rules on every student-initiated change: what they may do, how much notice is required, and how often they can move — while admins and teachers can always act on their behalf.
Short answer
Each studio configures policy once. When a student reschedules, Harmony only offers genuinely open teacher slots that satisfy notice and monthly limits. Double-booking is blocked; email and calendar invites go out automatically.
Policy controls
Reschedule a single class
Allow students to move one occurrence into an open slot without changing the rest of the series.
Move a whole series
Optionally let students shift their standing weekly time — still subject to availability and conflicts.
Cancel
Decide whether students may cancel an upcoming class themselves, or leave cancels to staff.
Minimum notice
Require a lead time before the class starts so last-minute moves do not strand teachers.
Monthly reschedule limit
Cap how many student-initiated moves are allowed in a billing month; staff overrides still work.
What students see
Students sign in on the web — no install — and see upcoming classes. If policy allows, they pick a new time from open slots. Staff can always reschedule or cancel for them. For how that compares to managing changes in a shared file, see Harmony vs spreadsheets.
